Fall fashion is finally here and the Riviera’s chilly forecast has allowed me to take out some of my vintage faux furs + 60 ‘s everything, followings this season’s hottest trend. Prada showed it best with low waisted belts and shaggy faux pelts. This is the time where you need to visit your local second hand shop and invest in your very own fabulously Retro faux fur!

 The Madame Gres exhibition is unfortunately over and I have wanted to post these pictures since I got back from Paris! For those of you who didn’t get a chance to see it…enjoy and for those who went to the expo, I am sure you do not mind looking at the amazingness all over again.

Weither you are at Hotel du Cap or the Athenee on Ave. Montaigne, Marc has put the sizzle back into travel with sexy transparencies, oversized bags, and synched shapes. This collection couldn’t be more perfect for the Cote d’ Azur with its sweet yet seductive silhouettes in rich autumn colors. Louis Vuitton hasn’t been this much fun since Marc did the bunny ears and surely another hit for “LV’s” luxury crazed clientele in the Riviera.

The Yves Saint Laurent skirt and collared blouse are from “Caprice Vintage”in Nice, bustier from Etam, the hat I bought in Greece (so random), and my caged heels are from Minelli.

With their Flag Ship Store in Sydney and with well known stockist like ASOS and Pixie Market, there is no excuse (other than being broke) to not own a piece of this collection. Shakuhachi is every boho’s dream with the right amount of girly and haute de gamme hippy. Their maxi skirts and see-through flares have me jumping up down and franticly searching local music festivals to wear my new bohemian threads. Peace, Love, and Fashion.

With Autumn just around the corner, I can’t help but think (umm…more like dream) about all the new trends!!! So far my favorites for Fall are “The box effect” BIG beautiful coats and jumpers that we saw at Celine, Stella, and even those BIG shoulders at Miu Miu…..and of course “Seeing spots”, with Marc and McCartney’s dot buffet that has me going dizzy with excitement for this graphic yet feminine trend.  I’m secretly hoping to find in Nice something oversized and covered in polka dots. 2 birds one stone.

So summer vacation is over and another season of blogging begins! Oh how I have missed all of you and missed posting anything and everything fashion. Below is a summer photo-shoot that Maik and I did with the beautiful Soraya Bakhtiar. A fashion editor in the making and one to follow as she becomes a fashion star. Soraya’s look is always so effortless, so we wanted to keep the look summer easy with Dolce and Gabbana inspired linens and embroidered lace from Nice’s famous Caprice vintage. The silhouette is accessorized with a typical woven bag from Nice’s Cours Saleya and must have for August in the Cote’d Azur.

Nice’s old town was glowing with this season’s must have colors inspired from one of London’s hottest designers. I absolutely love Kane’s granny gone nuclear silhouettes and think the Riviera will be everything, but drab for Summer.

The Trend Report’s Soraya Bakhtiar joined us for a day in Nice and helped us channel Christopher Kane’s Techno Librarian Chic! Soraya’s pleated lace skirt and top are both from Caprice Vintage, while her fabulous neon heels come from Zara.

“Giant Pants anyone?”

As much as I hate to even say the words….”The Pant Skirt” is back and I like it!

My inspiration for the above look was a Riviera summer and what I could’ve looked like in the 70′s (if I was born) and living in St, Tropez!  I felt my new pants  (picked up for 5 euros at Secours Populaire in Nice!!!! ) were perfectly retro and fun, capturing that Tropezienne summer silhouette with my Zoe tee’s stripe tank, cropped by my very own hands. My look is accessorized with yet another giant hat and my sandals are from Zara.

I hope you love the 70′s vibe as much as I do because this probably will not be the last look I post in honor of one of my favorite decades;)
